We took the kids to La Portada for Christmas pictures. It was unbelievably beautiful. Unfortunately, the steps that lead to the beach below are unsafe, so we viewed it from the cliff above (sans railing). Wesley just wanted to run around (like always), but I was able to get a captivating picture of Carly. The view was so breathtaking that I think we'll take another trip out there and try again.

What a beautiful place and what gorgeous pictures! You need to blow up and frame that one of Carly! Gotta love a fun adventure!
The stairway down to the beach has been closed the entire 2 1/2 years we have lived here... I'm guessing it's worse since the quakes, but it has been unsafe for a while (fallen sand blocking the pathway, fallen stairs, etc). Maybe someday they'll fix it. Love the pictures though.
