He Lives.

"And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
And many spread their garments in the way; and other cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."
Mark 11:7-9

"And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave it unto them, saying,
This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you."
Luke 22:19-20

"And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground."
Luke 22:44

"And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha... And Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost." John 19: 17, 30

"Peter therefore went forth, and the other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
So they ran both together... and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie." John 20:3-6

"Jesus sayeth unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou?" John 20:15

"I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." John 11:25

Happy Easter!
I'm so bummed...my camera is officially broken (all the way)!
I guess I can just describe how cute the kids were today.
So, what's Easter like in Chile?

Heidi,
The candy's not as good and the Easter Bunny didn't hide any plastic eggs (because they don't have any here), only foil wrapped chocolate ones. Easter clothes should arrive this week, so the kids wore their stuff from last year. But, other than the the commercial stuff, Easter is the same. He is risen!

Em,
"Hope" is my favorite painting too! It brings tears to my eyes every time I look at it!

HappY Easter. Thanks for the spiritual uplift!

That stinks about no plastic eggs and no Easter clothes.

That was beautiful. I love how you put the pictures together to recreate the story.

Beautiful. I read your blog yesterday while preparing my lesson for RS. It was a great inspiration. I hope you had a wonderful Easter even without the plastic eggs. :)
