About a year ago, we read this story to Carly and she has been dying to loose a tooth every since. So, last week when Carly discovered she had a loose tooth, she was elated. She talked about it {and wiggled it} non-stop. Then, Friday night, after realizing that her tooth was barely hanging on, she had a minor meltdown. She no longer wanted to loose her tooth. Between her sobs she'd say things like,
"But, it's my favorite tooth to chew with. I want to keep it forever."
Finally, I convinced Carly to let me "just look at it." Sure enough, she trusted me, I yanked, and out popped her tooth. That night, the tooth fairy paid a visit to Carly's bedroom and exchanged her pearly white with a pretty pink billete.
{The tooth fairy was extremely generous--this was the smallest bill in her bag.}
Needless to say, she is one happy, toothless little girl.

2 mil (or 2000 pesos) is about $4.50. It was a good thing she had no idea how much it was really worth because when we went to the store to get something we only let her buy something worth $1.

This morning I thought I knocked Kora's front teeth out! I was doing the dishes and she walked up right as I was swinging the dishwasher closed.

When Brenen found out he would get money for teeth he didn't want to brush his teeth, thinking all his teeth would fall out and he would have a lot of money! Such a fun age!
