tagged times two.
First by Vana over at LePapier Studio. She's amazing! I don't remember if I commented on her blog first, or vice versa, but either way, she's super creative and her designs are darling (go check 'em out)! Then, I was tagged by my dear friend Emily. I've known Emily since my days in Provo. She was one of the few people that made living there bearable. I love her.
Sorry it's taken me so long, ladies. But, here goes...
Tag #1 (from Vana): List 6 random facts/quirks about yourself.
I decided to mix this one up a bit since I've done this tag before. So, I changed it to...
6 facts/secrets from my childhood:
1. When I was 3 or 4 , I remember thinking the three bears lived in my closet. After saying my prayers, I crawled into bed and pulled the covers over my head so I wouldn't see them.
2. My younger sister, Suzette, and I use to play Sacrament meeting. We prepared the bread and water and gave our talks from a plant stand. I was always the bishop.
3. I broke my foot jumping on my neighbors trampoline--on a Sunday (a big no-no in our household)! In order to avoid receiving a lecture and being grounded for life, I told a whopper. It involved the annoying neighborhood kid, a flip in the air, and me risking life and limb to save his head from hitting the concrete. Why on earth did they believe me?
4. When I was in third grade, I was placed in an advanced reading class. Reading became a chore and I always had homework. I cried until my mom asked that I was removed from the class. To this day, I hate reading (unless it's a blog).
5. I played with Barbies until I was twelve. I cried and held a funeral for them when my mom sold them in a garage sale.
6. In fifth and sixth grade I wore glasses. They were big and the frames were red. I thought I was cool--I wasn't.

First, let me say that I don't love this bag. I bought it in Chile after my brand new purse and matching makeup case were ruined by a bottle of milk that leaked and subsequently spoiled during our flight here. Since my purse doubles as a diaper bag, this was the biggest and best I could find. It's not very pretty, but it does its job.
Contents (from left to right):
1. a small spiral notebook containing Spanish words and phrases, phone numbers, and other important information
2. my checkbook for our Chilean bank account
3. a cute little "case"
4. my American keys
5. my cellphone
6. my wallet (My brand new purse and makeup case matched this.)
7. gum
8. my temple recommend
9. my ipod
10. my Chilean keys
11. a makeup case (also purchased in Chile) containing: tweezers, fingernail clippers, a Tide stick, hand sanitizer, dental floss, bandaids, C.O. Bigelow lip shine, Burt's Bees lip balm, Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds lipgloss, Softlips lip protectant, Bon-Bons lipgloss (Carly's), and a hair rubberband.
12. 2 diapers
13. babywipes
Oh, and I found a purple skittle, but I ate it before I took the picture. Don't judge me.
Chao for now!

i'm dying about all the lip stuff in your purse, sooo funny! do you wear it all?! we used to play sacrament meeting too. my mom's curling iron was the microphone and we would give talks from "talks for tots". and i played with barbies & cabbage patches forever. so embarrassing.
I can't believe your mom sold your Barbies... my girls LOVE playing with all of my old barbie stuff (have to admit that I love it too). And super cute "case". Need to get me one of those:)
I got the tag and I'll work on it. I'm not sure I have six things. I loved your list. As always you always make me laugh.
HILAROUS...i love the comment about the purple skittle. i would have eaten it also. and what's with all the lip stuff? we must be related because i found 7 lip glosses in my purse yesterday when i cleaned it, and 1 of them was a hannah montana glitter one. don't judge me either...it rocks!
i remember you telling me some of those stories! i love to be refreshed!
Em,
I do wear it all, just not all at the same time. I use the C.O. Bigelow when I want a glossy lip, Burt's Bees for when my lips are chapped, Maybelline when I want a some shimmer, and Softlips when I'm in the sun (it has SPF). Since, I don't wear lipstick, I'm a little nuts for lipgloss!
Lynette, you are so funny.
I have that plant stand. I will never look at it the same.
Very clean and organized purse. No gum wrappers or receipts?
Those childhood facts were fun to read! Everyone else's childhood always sounds so much more interesting than my life.
And dang -- you fit a lot in your purse!
