an elect lady.

In honor of the birth of Emma Smith (July 10, 1804) and in memory of the early leaders and pioneers of the church whose legacy we celebrate this month, I thought I would share one of my favorite LDS songs, "Emma". She was truly an elect lady.

Thank you for sharing that Lynette. I needed that after being here at work today.

I love Emma Smith so much. I had to do a talk on her once and was so touched by her life. The song was beautiful. I'm downloading it now!

Thanks for the spiritual thought.

I love that song. It is one of my favorites. We were just in Palmyra and I was thinking about how much I admire Emma Smith, she was an amazing woman.

ahhh, I hadn't listened to it yet until now. It brought tears to my eyes. I admire Emma so much. I have no idea how she did what she did...burying children, her husband, giving up her family for Joseph, giving up, well, everything really. What an amazing woman.

thanks Lynette I loved that. I am reading the Work and the Glory again. It's amazing to me what these saints especially Emma went through, she had so many trials and yet she was always helping others. Such a selfless individual.

This goes so well with the talks we had at church.
I will be forever grateful for all the sacrifices the pioneers made.
What a pretty song!
