That's why, a little over a week ago, I was shocked and overcome with sadness when I began reading the newest post at NieNie Dialouges (a blog I frequently lurk). I learned that Stephanie and her husband, Christian, had been seriously injured in a private plane crash (for more information watch here). The news hit me as though I was reading about my oldest, dearest friend. My mind filled with thoughts of her four beautiful children and I offered a silent prayer.
This Thursday, along with many others throughout the blogging community, I will be holding a silent auction on behalf of the lovely Nielson family. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Stephanie and Christian Nielson Paypal Fund set up to pay for medical expenses and household management while they recover.
Make sure you check back Thursday to see what I will be auctioning off! In the meantime, I've added a donation button to my sidebar if you would like to contribute to their financial welfare.

I hadn't read her blog before the crash but it seems like everybody else did. I donated $20 after it happened because their medical expenses will be astronomical and I know it's not much, but it was really all I could do for now. I hope they are able to recover quickly and well.

so, i too love to read other people's blogs and get caught up in their lives.....crazy how i feel connected to these people and wish i could be a part of their every day life as well.....i have too much free time at work sometimes and i read blogs........i love it...i think i'm a blog-a-holic.
Several of the women's blogs I read have similar posts today. I'm sure the out pour of love and prayers will help their family.
I can't wait to see what you auction off.
