he's a big kid now!

I know it seems like I'm late potty-training Wes, but I feel like my kids need to be three (or almost three) to be ready.
When Wes turned three I was way too sick to deal with cleaning up accidents, so I decided to hold off until I knew my gag reflex could handle whatever happened.
We said goodbye to the pull-ups last week and after three days and only a few accidents, it clicked!
I don't want to jinx it, but he hasn't had an accident in over a week.
He comes and tells me when he needs to go. He stays dry overnight. We've been to church, the store, and the playground, all without incident. I keep feeling like it's too soon to say he's potty-trained, but he is. He really is!
And everyone is smiling.

I'm all about waiting until almost three also. It's worked out great so far. BTW, I love the name Wesley and I'm thinking about using it for this baby. Makes me think of Princess Bride!
Also congrats on the little bean. That is exciting! If I remember right you have had loss issues too with pregnancy and I'm glad to see this one is working out for you!
My little guy turns 3 in just a few weeks and we haven't even moved to pull-ups yet. I'm so not ready to put forth the effort. My 5 yr old still has overnight issues. I'm tired of diapers, but not ready to be cleaning up messes all over the place. Someone should do it for me!
Wahoo! Way to go Wes and way to go Mommy! I think it's a huge deal to by dry overnight! Freedom at last and no more buying diapers... well for at least a few more months! :)
Waiting 'til 3 worked great for Isaac. I'm not sure Noah's going to be ready at 3....maybe I'll wait a few months myself since it was so easy for you guys. Congrats to both you and Wes!
I.am.so.jealous. I have half heartedly attempted to potty train Sadie, but I'm just so lazy and she's so stubborn. Congrats for you!!!
Both of my boys were 3 when they were potty trained. In fact, Jake would not wear his underwear when training so he stayed naked for about 2 weeks running in the house. Bad thing is for an entire year after he was potty trained I would find him naked outside on the trampoline! I guess boys will be boys! :)
I forgot to mention that is a cute picture!
That is so awesome!
I've been potty training Kora way too long!
