my little prince. my little hero.

A friend of mine recently found out she's pregnant with a boy (she was dreaming of a girl). I told her that the love little boys have for their mothers is unparalleled and instead of having a little princess, she'll forever be a princess in his eyes.
And, it's true.
But what I failed to tell her, and she'll learn soon enough, is that no matter how old or how big little boys get, they'll forever be their mother's little prince.
Or superhero--whichever the case may be.

So well said. You have such a way of providing insight and inspiration. Wes looks so big now and handsome with his glasses.
Carter now introduces himself as superman... to everyone. How long does this super hero stage last? :)
Miss you!
I'd have to say my favorite thing about the superhero phase is how every action they do has an associated sound effect.
If they're running it's "Fswoosh!"
If they're play/fighting it's "Bam, pow, bang!"
If there's an explosion it's "Kaboom!"
I love it!
angie--that's so funny! i recently found out that wes has been telling kids at school that his real name is peter (because of peter parker--aka spiderman).
oh, and wesley has been into superheros for three years now. it started with superman and it's moved to spiderman, batman, and ironman at one time or another.
It's nice to have four (original) princes and two junior princes in our family;it's wonderful to have two (in-law) princesses and two junior princesses.
I don't know that Ammon/Austin/Alex/AJ ever were that into superheroes - mostly StarWars (but I guess I don't need to tell you that).
My friend Andrea recently had a baby boy after two girls and when we hung out a few weeks ago she said "you were right." Having a boy is very different from a girl. I love them fiercely and they will always be my princes!
I love those pics!
I was into Batman for awhile, mostly due to the 1989 Tim Burton film.
That is such a beautiful story, Sugie, I love it, thank you.
