the truth.
Have I ever told you how much I love tulips?
It's true.
They are my most favoritest flower.
In the whole world.
I recently went to a conference where Beverly Campbell, author of "Eve and the Choice Made in Eden", was the keynote speaker. During her talk, Sister Campbell said that as spirit children of our Heavenly Father we participated in the plans for Eden and this Earth. Each of us aided in the creation and design of something unique and special.
What a beautiful eternal truth.
What a beautiful eternal truth.
(I think mine was tulips.)
While we're on the topic of truths...
Remember my resolution last year to post twice a week?
Yeah, not even close.
I'd like to say this year will be different and I'll post more regularly, but truth is, part of me wants to give up on this here blog.
Ever since I received an unkind comment, I censor myself to the point where you are only seeing the tiniest fraction of who I really am and my life.
And that doesn't feel very honest.
So, this my final attempt at resuscitating this blog.
I'm going to use this year as a new beginning and fresh start.
I'm going to use this year as a new beginning and fresh start.
No resolutions, just the promise to start writing openly and honestly again.
And see where that takes us.
P.S. For the month of February I've updated my sidebar with my favorite love songs. There's even a tribute to Whitney in there. Enjoy!

I hope you don't give up. Even these little glimpses brighten my entire day. And those tulips are GORGEOUS! Love.
I have no idea what unkind words anyone could possibly come up with to say to you, but I for one really enjoy reading your posts-even very sporadically :)
I have learned that I write for me and for my kids. No one else. Even the nasty people. Having a goal of creating a Blurb book every year as a journal for each of the kids has really been motivating for me.
i love you. and your blog.
please, don't ever give it up.
especially because of one lame-o comment.
be as honest and open as YOU want. it's YOUR blog.
after all, that's what the "delete comment" button is for. :)
Oh I hope you continue to post. I love your posts. I love your insight, your honesty, I love seeing a glimps into your life and family. Open up again, you are so inspiring and loving.
And you tell the funniest stories!
Miss ya and hope all is well. Good luck with your resolution.
Hugs, A
I agree. It's YOUR blog and it's fabulous. You are way to gifted to not blog because of some jerk-o who is probably only jealous of how talented you are with writing, designing and photographing. Please blog! I love anytime a post of yours pops up in my reader.
I am a huge fan of yours and not a huge fan of crap people, so my vote is obviously for you to continue writing. But as a deviant blogger myself, I totally understand stepping back. Please know that for every crap comment, there is someone (not to name ant names) that reads and appreciates you but doesn't comment at all. In fact, there are probably more people than just one person, but for sure there is at least one person. That I know of. Someone I know really well. Who has the best intentions, but poor follow-through. And who really likes your blog. Almost as much as she likes knee high socks and candy. But not to name any names.
Lynette-I LOVE reading your blog and I love seeing your gorgeous pictures! You're so talented and I always get excited when I see you have updated your blog. Write for your kids and your fans (and me)....just ignore that ugly comment. That person was a loser!!
Dude, screw that person. You're ah-mazing and wonderful and that's all that matters!! I also have a deep deep love for tulips and i also believe in writing how i feel on my blog...because after all its my blog and im not forcing a hooker to read it!! Love you...and love your blog! Keep em' coming!!
I go through this very same thing all of the time. I give up and start again and the cycle repeats. It's annoying and heartbreaking for me. But, I think you should keep going, because I think the things you post are so pretty, and there's not enough pretty (or even if you have a rough day, there's not enough real days) out there.
I LOVE that quote... so fun to think about... I wonder what I helped with...
Don't give up on your blog! I love reading everything you write!!! Don't hide one of your many talents, you are a gifted writer! Someday everything you've ever recorded will be so precious to your family. Love you!!!!!!
I'm sorry someone said something unkind. I think you're awesome and fun to read. Keep the real you comin'!
I just found your blog as a link from Beth's. I want to get to know you so much more now and feel sooo lucky to have you as a VT. Your blog is so beautiful! Your photography is fantastic, your decor is breathtaking, and your writing is fantastic! I love the spaces and everything. Maybe this sounds over the top, but I really feel like I just got to know more of who you are and I love it all!
Sharon :)
