It's easy to get behind a show like L O S T or Heroes that has mass appeal and great popularity, but it's not as trendy to be a fan of The Young and the Restless.
My sister, Colette, got me into this show while I was living with her (thanks a lot). You should hear some of the telephone conversations we have. The other night Ammon came into the room and asked, "Okay, when did you stop talking about reality and start talking about 'your show?' " She's a great resource because she's been watching for 10 or more years.
So, here are some of my favorite plots:
- Jack recently proposed to Sharon who was previously married to Nicholas who is currently married to Phyllis who was previously married to Jack. (Do you follow?)
- Lauren finally killed Sheila, her long-time foe. Sheila had plastic surgery to look like Lauren's friend, Phyllis, in order to get close to her and steal her new born baby, Fen. In the past, Sheila stole Lauren's older son, Scott, and she tried killing Lauren several times. As you can see, Sheila's death was HUGE!!
- Kevin Fisher, former bad boy of Genoa City, has recently been cleared of all charges for the murder of Carmen Mesta and Jana Hawkes. Jana admitted to Carmen's murder while she was trying to kill Kevin and Colleen by locking them in a burning building. Jana framed her own murder and she was framing Kevin for Carmen's murder as well. Jana is currently missing...but I'm sure we haven't seen the last of her.
Naturally, Y & R is the #1 hit daytime drama and with story lines like these who wouldn't get sucked in?
Confession: I'm restless for The Young and the Restless.

I used to be hooked on days of our lives, and its funny with shows like that, you can not watch t for a year, and still come back and feel like you havent missed anything.

I've watched Days of our Lives since I was about 5...I'm not kidding. I'd come home from preschool and watch it with my mom. So what's funny to me is seeing how they forget very key things. Belle is named after her mother, Isabella. Marlena was not her mom. So if Isabella was her mom, then Victor is her grandfather. Which means she's related to both Sean and Phillip, both previous lovuhs of hers. Anyway, now I catch about 10 minutes a month and as somebody already said, I don't miss a thing. It's kinda sad.
