Sweet Escape

Are you familiar with the Gwen Stefani song, "Sweet Escape"?
I totally relate to the following lyrics:

"...I'm at my lowest boiling point
Come help me out
I need to get me out of this joint
Come on, let's bounce..."

By the time Friday rolls around, I need to get "out of this joint!" Our datenight has become the "sweetest escape" but, I've been thinking about some of my other "sweet escapes" and here they are.

These Dove Ice Cream Miniatures are a sweet escape on a long, hot day. At only 60 calories a bar, it's hard to stop at just one!

Nothing is more relaxing than a Spa Pedicure where the only "little ones" around are my "little piggies!" French tipped, please!

Girl's Night Out, need I say more! Every month I look forward to Bunco more and more. The food, the laughter, the friendship... it's become a sanity staple.

The temple, of course, is the greatest escape. An escape from the world, an escape from my problems, a reminder of home.

What are your "escapes?"

P.S. As you can see, the identity crisis (with my blog template) rages on!

At the end of a long week I just want to spend time at home with the wife and kids--the last thing I want is to go out and eat (especially if I've been traveling and eating out every night). My sweetest escape is my home.

Date night can be a great escape. Some other fave escapes include
books (waiting for Harry Potter 7), TV (recently discovered Scrubs re-runs--why didn't I get into this show earlier?), and video games on my DS (makes my daily commute on the bus bearable).

i love tv...the office, arrested development, seinfeld reruns, scrubs (funny huh ammon, we have all the seasons on dvd). i also love leaving the house with the kids at home--be it date night or just running to the grocery store, i LOVE it. i also love reading.

Hey! Looks like we've blog-reversed! You've been busy.

My biggest escapes are scrapbooking and sudoku. But reading everyone else's responses made me realize I have a lot of escapes: TV (especially when I'm nursing), Book club, Monday lunch with my husband. . . I guess I shouldn't complain because I get away from the mundane a lot.

Oh yeah TV for me for sure!! I am really into Last Comic Standing. The Office, I also I like shopping or going out to lunch with friends, and even a small stop at McDs. Plus anything that is categorized as dessert I am in. And in the fall volleyball night. I dont know how we'll live with out you!
