W A R N I N G !Shopping on this site may cause extreme depression!
First let me say, I heart Etsy (the online marketplace for all things homemade). The founder of Etsy got it right when he designed this community of creative goods, but amidst his visionary achievement he failed to include the above warning. I can spend hours browsing from one unique item to the next, but in the end I always find myself asking, "Why can't I be creative like that?"
Why is a question I find myself asking a lot lately. Why can't I be an inventive mother like Angie (or have as many amazing friends?) Why can't I do it all like Kelli (the writer of Tangled and True)? Why can't I multi-task like Maddy? Why can't I be as ambitious as Marie? Why can't I be as clever as Emily, or as brave as Lori? Why can't I do something like this, or this, or THIS??? Where is my creativity?
I know, I'm having a pity party, but does anyone else feel like they don't measure up and never will... or is it just me?

Oh my goodness. You are one of the most talented and creative people I know... You single handedly created almost everything while you were in YW. And I must say that you throw the best Bunco parties and baby showers.
Seriously, there are very few things Lynette is not good at. She can do anything she really wants to.
lynette, remember what you gave me at my baby shower? that cute basket (that we still use, by the way) with bath stuff, washcloths, a cute outfit, cute socks...seriously the cutest present i have ever received in my life--me and my sisters still talk about what an awesome present it was (and i try to copy it every time i go to a shower and it's just not the same). make THOSE and sell them on etsy! you would be amazing!

I think everyone feels that way. Its like you are looking at life with the wrong end of a telescope. Everyone elses talents feel so far away like you could never reach them, but even hearing you descibe me as ambitious, IM thinking,"huh?" no one can ever see all their true talents, and in some ways its a shame, but lets be honest, if you knew how cool you really were, and the rest of us werent you wouldnt want to hang around us anymore, youd realize you were way out of our league. =)

Oh barf -- ;p! As if the rest of us don't get a complex when we come read your blog! I doubt that there is anything you aren't good at. from what I've seen, your house is gorgeous and always clean, your writing is clever and witty, you children are beautiful and perfect, your husband adores you, you are plenty creative, and you get to have amazing adventures overseas!!! Give yourself some credit. I'm jealous of *YOU*.

I think having a perfectly organized, clean, beautiful home, playing on a co-ed volley ball team, Bunco, calling, 2 kids, husband, moving to Chili, Blogging, writing, poetry, (amazing cook), making everyone around you laugh, always naturally beautiful, (perfect skin-always one of my biggest envies!)impeccable taste in everything!
I could go on and on and on!!!
