you've got mail.
This is my all time favorite movie. I could watch it again and again (and I have!). From the opening credits to the final fade out, it's 119 minutes of movie magic and I'm enchanted every time.
Although the casting is superb and the music is catchy, for me, the best part of this movie is the dialogue. It's ripe with wit and warmth. It's simply... delicious! Watch and see...
Now, what blogger (or warm blooded human being for that matter) wouldn't love this movie? I feel the exact same way as I log on to my computer to see what my friends (and a few strangers) have to say. Then, I wait impatiently for my page to load and I feel my breath catch in my chest until I see those little words: 4 comments. I have comments... from you!
It's a simple romantic comedy for a simple romantic girl (me). The perfect rental for a Valentine's Day spent at home snuggled up with the one you love.
My favorite movie is You've Got Mail. What's yours?

you already know mine, finding neverland! i like this one a lot too though. i really love romantic comedies. wish my husband did!
hmmm... I only wish I could figure out what my favorite movie is. I'm a little jealous of those of you that can narrow it down to just one!
by the way, I know Laurie from my ward here in Keller- she is a creative genius and is full of energy and fun!
Mine is The Notebook. My favorite part is when Noah and Allie dance in the street together and the music plays in the back "I'll be seeing you.. in that small cafe..." Makes my heart beat an extra beat. I know what you mean when you check your blog and you have a comment posted. I get so excited to see who has posted on my blog. However, I don't know many people who blog.. only 6 (including you), but they are an awesome 6.
Hey Lynette! That's funny that you should post about your favorite romantic movie today...last night I watched "Becoming Jane" and I loved it so much I was going to blog about it (but thought people would think that's dumb - thanks for being brave!). I love Becoming Jane (my favorite part is at the ball when she's looking for him and suddenly he's there, makes me remember that first kiss/being in love feeling) even though it ends a little sad. I even watched it again this morning. Other favorite has to be the Notebook.
While I don't have just one favorite, I think Pride and Predjudice...the long version...ranks pretty high on the list. And, my husband owned it before I did! You probably didn't know I read your blog...well I do! and I love getting comments on my blog as well!
I'm not sure I have one "all-time" favorite either, but the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice is definitely up there (although I'm starting to like the Keira Knightly one better and better as I watch it). I too (like my sister) love romantic comedies.
I love You've Got Mail -- but not as much as Sleepless in Seattle. Basically I love any romantic comedy. I especially love any old book made into a move: P&P, Emma, The Importance of Being Ernest. . . I love them all.
So is that what you have planned for tonight?
I love movies but don't really like watching them over and over except for Overboard. I can watch that daily and still laugh at it.
I love bloggers comments too-especially yours!
Maddy,
Ammon has YM tonight, so we are going to celebrate this weekend. Probably just dinner and maybe a walk on the beach.
okay i'm laughing out loud about the "overboard" comment, EVERY time it's on tnt or whatever i have to watch it. SO funny. i always cry at the end. "arturo!!"
My favorite movie has to be The Princess Bride. No matter what, when or where, I'll watch it and laugh and cry and cry and laugh!
Hey Lynette, sorry it's been awhile since I've commented. Ben actually bought The Notebook for me for valentine's day with a Michael Buble cd. I also love Far and Away with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. And for a funny one that I think is so funny is 2 Weeks Notice with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant. I really liked The Holiday too. I too love romantic comedies. Hope you had a good Valentine's. Do they celebrate that holiday there?
I like that movie too. My favorite "romantic" movies are Sci-Fi. ha ha I know, weird. But for some reason I feel like it's more real.
I love You've Got Mail also!
It's one of those movies that no matter what mood I'm in I want to watvh it.
The other day "Castaway" was on TV and Kamron and I were commenting how that movie gets better the more we watch it also.
I think we just like Tom Hanks...he's great!
I put some other movies on my profile also, but the truth is there's so many I love.
Recently we saw Jumper in the theater and I thought it was great!
