welcome home.

We welcome with love

L  E  X  I  E      G  R  A  C  E

8lbs. 3oz.
20 inches

I know I'm biased, but she is beautiful.

Lexie's birth was both my best and worst delivery experience thus far. At first, everything went as planned. The anesthesiologist gave me my epidural and they began the cesarean shortly thereafter. Lexie was born within a few minutes and immediately they wrapped her in a warming blanket and let me hold her and cuddle her for 5-10 minutes. It was bliss.

Then, Ammon left with the pediatrician and Lexie and I began to feel nauseous. I told the anesthesiologist and he pushed medication into my IV. My nausea was relieved for a minute but suddenly I knew I was going to throw up. I turned and told the anesthesiologist again but before he could get something for me, I began throwing up and dry heaving. Everything after that is a bit blurry. I remember hearing my OBGYN gasp and then order the anesthesiologist to put me under general anesthesia. Next thing I knew, I woke up in recovery two hours later.

Apparently, as I started heaving my doctor was inside of me cutting out old scar tissue and it became a dangerous situation. Because of all the drugs they had given me, it took about 8 hours for me to really wake up, but all in all it was a happy day and mother and baby are doing well.

She is just gorgeous. But with you as a mom she would HAVE to be! I'm so sorry you had that scare, but so happy you are all well now. Enjoy your newest love bug. I just want to smoosh her! When you guys get back to the States you need to plan a trip to AZ!

Lynette, she is BEAUTIFUL. Just beautiful! I sort of envy the c-section because they look so normal after birth. I'm so glad you're okay, that sure is a scary situation--probably good that Ammon was already out too, that would've totally freaked him out I bet. How long do you stay in the hospital there? Oh congratulations you guys. She is just perfect.

Oh, and YOU. How can YOU look that good right after major surgery? I mean really. It's not fair.

No... you are NOT biased... she is beautiful! I'm so happy you and Lexi are happy and healthy! You look so good in the picture... seriously, Lynette, I've never seen you look bad (EVER)!!! Even after a baby! I wish I could come and visit you and shower you with gifts... if only I were more organized and gotten a package shipped off. Now, I might as well wait for your return to TX. Any specific date yet?
