Movie night
Ammon and I swap babysitting on the weekends with my sister Colette. Colette and Greg watch Carly and Wesley on Friday nights while we go out, and we watch their kids on Saturday nights while they go out. As a result Ammon and I have "movie night" on a regular basis. So, tonight I've been thinking about my favorite movies from 2006.
Best Picture 2006, "The Prestige"
Best Action/Adventure Movie 2006
"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest"
Best Comedy 2006, "Nacho Libre"
Best Romantic Comedy 2006, "The Holiday"
Best "Chick-Flick" 2006, "The Lake House"
Best Animated Movie 2006, "Cars"

My boys love Cars! And I had forgotten about the Holiday and the Lake House - but I liked them both! What about High School Musical - its a classic amongst six year olds - and me!
The Lake House was definately my favorite movie this past year! It was the first movie in a long time I was not disappointed with. I think now that we have to pay for a babysitter I want the movie to be worth it. Kamron rented it for me the other night and we watched it and I couldn't enjoy it at all b/c of all his comments... he thinks the only movie Keana Reeves should be in is Matrix!
Heidi and I loved that movie! I raved about it to Ben and then we watched it again with Heidi & Kamron, and they totally ruined it! Another of my favorite chick flicks was The Notebook. I don't think I cried harder in a movie. I was also pregnant too, so that didn't help!
A surprise for me was that I really enjoyed the movie Man of the Year. The TV was turned down really low, but I dont think there were many innappropriate comments which is a surprise especially from Robin Williams, and I thought the plot and story line were really creative done well. Usually I feel the opposite about movies, that the plot was good but they didnt make the story line good enough. Like the movie "catch and release."
